Öveç (Kurdish: Sûrûnis,[2] Syriac: Sārūnīs[3]) is a village in the Şemdinli District in Hakkâri Province in Turkey.
[4] The village is populated by Kurds of the Humaru tribe and had a population of 486 in 2023.
[1][5] Öveç has the two hamlets of Harmanlı (Dêrebanî) and Karakuş (Derya) attached to it.
