Čelákovice

It lies in the Central Elbe Table, in the Polabí lowlands.

The town is situated on the left bank of the Elbe River.

The inhabitants subsisted on fishing and agriculture, and from the mid-19th century also on the production of baskets.

[3] The engineering factory known as TOS (Továrna obráběcích strojů) was founded in 1910.

The fortress, reconstructed in 1973–1982 in the Gothic–Renaissance style, serves today as the town museum.
