Čestereg (Serbian Cyrillic: Честерег; Hungarian: Csősztelek) is a village in Serbia.
It is situated in the Žitište municipality, Central Banat District, Vojvodina province.
The village has a Serb ethnic majority and its population numbering 1,391 people (2002 census).
In the 19th century, the area of present-day village belonged to Count József Csekonics (a Hungarian of Croatian descent).
Its first inhabitants were Hungarians, but since they left from the village, Csekonics settled Germans in 1829.
