Ōyodo, Nara

Ōyodo (大淀町, Ōyodo-chō) is a town located in Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture, Japan.

Ōyodo is located on the right bank of the Yoshino River in central Nara Prefecture, almost in the center of the Kii Peninsula.

Nara Prefecture Ōyodo has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen Cfa) characterized by warm summers and cool winters with light to no snowfall.

Ōyodo has a mayor-council form of government with a directly elected mayor and a unicameral town council of 12 members.

In terms of national politics, the town is part of the Nara 3rd district of the lower house of the Diet of Japan.
