Żółtnica

Żółtnica ([ʐuu̯tˈnit͡sa]: German: Soltnitz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Szczecinek, within Szczecinek County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.

[1] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) south-east of Szczecinek and 150 km (93 mi) east of the regional capital Szczecin.

The area became part of the emerging Polish state under its first ruler Mieszko I around 967,[2] and following Poland's fragmentation it formed part of the Duchy of Pomerania.

Two Polish citizens were murdered by Nazi Germany in the village during World War II.
