1887 Indiana Hoosiers football team

In its first season of intercollegiate football, economics professor Arthur B. Woodford served as the school's football coach, and fullback Harry Wise was the team's captain.

Indiana played one game, arranged by the Indianapolis Athletic Club as part of a series of "rugby games of foot ball" intended to establish the college championship of Indiana.

Indiana was matched against the team from Franklin College with the game set for October 15, 1887.
