The men's singles competition was held from August 22 to August 28 on the outdoor grass courts at the Newport Casino in Newport, Rhode Island.

[2][3][4] The women's singles and doubles events, as well as the mixed doubles, were held from June 20 to June 23 on the outdoor grass courts at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

It was the 13th U.S. National Championships and the second Grand Slam tournament of the year.
