1929 Duquesne Dukes football team

The 1929 Duquesne Dukes football team was an American football team that represented Duquesne University as a member of the Tri-State Conference during the 1929 college football season.

In their third year under head coach Elmer Layden, the Dukes compiled a 9–0–1 record (3–0 in conference games), outscored opponents by a total of 154 to 53, and won the Tri-State championship.

[2][3] Team captain and halfback Aldo Donelli won a reputation as "one of the most certain passers and kickers in the game.

[5] Duquesne played two home games on Bluff Field on the school's Pittsburgh campus and six homes games at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh.
