The 1939 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships were organized by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and served as the national championships in outdoor track and field for the United States.
The men's edition was held at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska, and it took place 3–4 July.
The women's meet was held separately at Municipal Stadium in Waterbury, Connecticut, on 4 September.
The men's championships were held in unusually hot 100 °F (38 °C) weather.
