The 1942–43 NCAA men's basketball season began in December 1942, progressed through the regular season and conference tournaments, and concluded with the 1943 NCAA basketball tournament championship game on March 30, 1943, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.
The Wyoming Cowboys won their first NCAA national championship with a 46–34 victory over the Georgetown Hoyas.
