1942 New Year Honours

The 1942 New Year Honours were appointments by King George VI to various orders and honours to reward and highlight good works by citizens of the United Kingdom and British Empire.

Military Division Civil Division Honorary KCMG At this time the two lowest classes of the Royal Victorian Order were "Member (fourth class)" and "Member (fifth class)", both with post-nominals MVO.

"Member (fourth class)" was renamed "Lieutenant" (LVO) from the 1985 New Year Honours onwards.
