The 29th edition of the Tour of Flanders cycling classic race was held on Sunday, 10 June 1945.
[2] The race started in Ghent and covered 222 km (137.9 miles) on the way to the finish in Wetteren.
[3] The course featured 3 categorized climbs: A tough race thinned out the peloton and a leading group of 23 riders rode to the finish.
Sylvain Grysolle jumped away and reached the finish line alone.
