The 1961 Ferris Institute Bulldogs football team was an American football team that represented Ferris Institute (now known as Ferris State University) as an independent during the 1961 college football season.

In their ninth year under head coach Sam Ketchman, the Bulldogs compiled a 5–3 record.

Key players included sophomore end Ivan Ranger and senior fullback Bill Skidmore.
