1980 Portland, Oregon mayoral elections

Connie McCready[a] Frank Ivancie Two 1980 Portland, Oregon mayoral elections were held concurrently on May 20, 1980.

There were two ballot items for the same office: a special election to fill the seat for the final weeks of the current term (ending January 3, 1981), and another primary election for a full term (beginning the same day).

City commissioner Frank Ivancie defeated acting mayor Connie McCready in both races.

Despite officially being listed as nonpartisan, Ivancie was a Conservative Democrat[3] and McCready was a Republican.
