1980 US Open – Men's singles

Defending champion John McEnroe defeated Björn Borg in the final, 7–6(7–4), 6–1, 6–7(5–7), 5–7, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 1980 US Open.

The final is often ranked among the best matches in tennis history,[1][2] and was central to the Borg–McEnroe rivalry.
