1984 Virginia Cavaliers football team

The 1984 Virginia Cavaliers football team represented the University of Virginia during the 1984 NCAA Division I-A football season.

The Cavaliers were led by third-year head coach George Welsh and played their home games at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia.

They competed as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference, finishing in second.

The school made their first appearance in the AP Poll in over 30 years when they entered at number 19 in week 11.
