The 1988–89 Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team represented Gonzaga University in the West Coast Athletic Conference (WCAC) during the 1988–89 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
Led by seventh-year head coach Dan Fitzgerald, the Bulldogs were 14–13 (.519) overall in the regular season (5–9 in WCAC, sixth),[1] and played their home games on campus at the Charlotte Y. Martin Centre (formerly known as Kennedy Pavilion) in Spokane, Washington.
At the third conference tournament, the Zags lost again in the quarterfinals, this time to eventual champion Loyola Marymount, to finish at 14–14 (.500).
[2][3] Their first tournament wins came three years later in 1992; they advanced to the final,[4] but fell by three to top-seeded Pepperdine.
