The 1988 Syracuse Orangemen football team represented Syracuse University an independent during the 1988 NCAA Division I-A football season.
Led by eighth-year head coach Dick MacPherson, the Orangemen compiled a record of 10–2.
Syracuse was invited to the Hall of Fame Bowl, where the Orangemen defeated LSU.
The team played home games at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York.
