The 1988 UEFA European Under-16 Championship was the 6th edition of the UEFA's European Under-16 Football Championship.

Spain hosted the 16 teams entered the competition during 11–21 May 1988.

Italy did not defend its win in the previous year's final.

Spain won their second title.
