The 1989 Idaho State Bengals football team represented Idaho State University as a member of the Big Sky Conference during the 1989 NCAA Division I-AA football season.
Led by second-year head coach Garth Hall, the Bengals compiled an overall record of 3–7, with a mark of 2–6 in conference play, and finished tied for sixth in the Big Sky.
