Sixteen teams competed from August, 1992 until May, 1993 for the Stones Bitter Championship, Premiership Trophy and Silk Cut Challenge Cup.

In March 1993, clubs voted to return to a two-division structure from the start of the 1993–94 season, which also included the scrapping of the county cup competitions.
