1997 British Open (real tennis)

The men's event was held at the Queen's Club in London between November 15–25, 1997 and was organised by the Tennis and Rackets Association.

[1] The men's draw was the fourth and final grand slam event of the year.

[2] He beat World Champion Robert Fahey in the final in straight sets.

The women's singles draw was won by Penny Lumley for the third consecutive year, and sixth overall.

[4] Lumley paired with Haswell to win the doubles draw at Canford School, defending their 1996 title.
