1998 National Invitation Tournament

The 1998 National Invitation Tournament was the 1997 edition of the annual NCAA college basketball competition.

Minnesota's tournament victory was vacated as a result of numerous NCAA violations, including academic fraud, that took place under coach Clem Haskins.

Kevin Clark also vacated his tournament Most Valuable Player award.
