The 1998 Texas Southern Tigers football team represented Texas Southern University as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) during the 1998 NCAA Division I-AA football season.
Led by fifth-year head coach William A. Thomas, the Tigers compiled an overall record of 6–5, with a mark of 4–4 in conference play, and finished tied for fourth in the SWAC.
