2002 DFB-Ligapokal final

The match was played on 1 August 2002 at the Ruhrstadion in Bochum.

Hertha BSC won the match 4–1 against Schalke 04, an exact repeat of the previous final, for their 2nd title.

Four teams enter the preliminary round, with the two winners advancing to the semi-finals, where they will be joined by two additional clubs who were given a bye.
