2002 Kansas City Royals season

The Royals failed to improve on their 65-97 record from 2001 and finished fourth in the American League Central with a record of 62 wins and 100 losses, their first 100 loss season in franchise history.

And once again, the Royals missed the postseason for the 17th consecutive season.
