The 2002 Texas Southern Tigers football team represented Texas Southern University as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) during the 2002 NCAA Division I-AA football season.
Led by ninth-year head coach William A. Thomas, the Tigers compiled an overall record of 4–7, with a mark of 3–4 in conference play, and finished third in the West Division of the SWAC.
