The 2003 Alabama State Hornets football team represented Alabama State University as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) during the 2003 NCAA Division I-AA football season.
Led by first-year head coach Charles Coe, the Hornets compiled an overall record of 8–5, with a mark of 5–2 in conference play, finished as SWAC East Division co-champion, and lost to Southern in the SWAC Championship Game.
