2006–07 Dallas Mavericks season

The Mavericks entered the season as the runners-up of the 2006 NBA Finals, where they lost to the Miami Heat in six games.

They improved by seven wins, finishing 67–15, claiming the top seed in the Western Conference, and qualifying for the playoffs for the seventh consecutive season.

The Mavericks became the third first-seeded team in NBA history to be eliminated by an eighth-seeded team in the playoffs, following the Seattle SuperSonics in 1994, and the Miami Heat in 1999.
