2006 Ottawa municipal election

The race featured three main candidates: incumbent mayor Bob Chiarelli, former Kanata councillor Alex Munter and businessman Larry O'Brien.

However, in the summer O'Brien joined the campaign, prompting Kilrea to drop out and endorse Chiarelli.
