The 2007–08 season was Ross County's first season back in the Scottish Second Division, having been relegated from the Scottish First Division at the end of the 2006–07 season.
[8] The club started the 2007–08 season under the management of Dick Campbell,[9] who had been appointed during pre season following the resignation of Scott Leitch.
[10] On 2 October 2007,[11] Campbell was sacked as manager[12] with player coach Derek Adams being appointed as temporary manager.
