The 2010–11 Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball team represented Iowa State University during the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.

They played their home games at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa and competed in the Big 12 Conference.

On April 26, 2010, Greg McDermott announced he was resigning as head coach at Iowa State to take the same position at Creighton.

[4] On April 27, 2010, it was announced that former player Fred Hoiberg would take over as head coach.

Prior to his hiring by Iowa State he was most recently an executive with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
