Teams representing 48 countries participated in four levels of competition.
Germany hosted the event with games being played in Gelsenkirchen, Mannheim and Cologne.

The Group A tournament was contested in Tilburg, Netherlands.
The Group A tournament was held in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg.
