The 2015–16 New Mexico Lobos women's basketball team represented the University of New Mexico during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I women's basketball season.

The Lobos, led by fifth year head coach Yvonne Sanchez, were played their home games at The Pit with one game at Johnson Gymnasium and were a members of the Mountain West Conference.

They advanced to the semifinals of the Mountain West women's tournament, where they lost to Colorado State.

On March 18, the school fired Yvonne Sanchez.
