The tournament was held in Tehran, Iran from 31 July to 8 August 2015.

Iran India Kazakhstan Pakistan Sri Lanka Turkmenistan China Chinese Taipei Japan South Korea Australia Thailand Bahrain Kuwait Oman Qatar Saudi Arabia Teams were seeded in the first two positions of each pool following the serpentine system according to their FIVB World Ranking as of 22 September 2014.

[2] AVC reserved the right to seed the hosts as head of pool A regardless of the World Ranking.

All teams not seeded were drawn in Tehran, Iran on 22 April 2015.

[3] But, Saudi Arabia later withdrew and Oman moved from pool A to C to balance the number of teams in each pool.
