The 2016 Sacred Heart Pioneers football team represented Sacred Heart University as a member of the Northeast Conference (NEC) during the 2016 NCAA Division I FCS football season.

Led by fifth-year head coach Mark Nofri, the Pioneers compiled an overall record of 6–5 with a mark of 1–5 in conference play, placing in a three-way tie for fifth place in the NEC.

Sacred Heart played home games at Campus Field in Fairfield, Connecticut.
