2017 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly election

Elections were held on 15 February 2017 in a single phase for the 69 seats of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly.

Voting in the Karnaprayag constituency was postponed until 9 March 2017 due to the death of BSP candidate Kuldeep Kanwasi in a road accident.

In the previous election in 2012, none of the parties won a majority but the Indian National Congress formed the government with the help of PDF with the leadership of Vijay Bahuguna.
