The 2017 Welsh Open (officially the 2017 Coral Welsh Open) was a professional snooker tournament that took place from 13 to 19 February 2017 at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff.
[1][2] The tournament's trophy was renamed to the Ray Reardon Trophy in honour of six-time world champion Ray Reardon.
[3] The defending champion Ronnie O'Sullivan[4] lost 3–4 against Mark Davis in the last 64.
[5] Stuart Bingham won his first Welsh Open title and fourth ranking title overall, beating Judd Trump 9–8 in the final.
The "rolling 147 prize" for a maximum break stood at £10,000.
