2018 IIHF World Championship

The 2018 IIHF World Championship was an international ice hockey tournament hosted by the Danish cities of Copenhagen and Herning, held from 4 to 20 May 2018.

[1][2] South Korea made its debut at the World Championship, having played in the lower divisions previously.

[3] Sweden went undefeated at the tournament to win their second consecutive and eleventh overall title after defeating Switzerland in the final.

The official mascot of the tournament was a swan,[5] inspired by the Danish writer and poet Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale about The Ugly Duckling.
