The 2019–20 CAF Confederation Cup group stage started on 1 December 2019 and ended on 2 February 2020.
[2] The draw for the group stage was held on 12 November 2019, 12:00 CAT (UTC+2), at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
[3][4] The 16 teams, all winners of the play-off round of qualifying, were drawn into four groups of four.
The group winners and runners-up advance to the quarter-finals of the knockout stage.
Effective from the Confederation Cup group stage, matches are played on Sundays.
