She was challenged by Luis "Louie" Casimiro, Conrado Miranda, and former Councilor Benjamin Gonzales.

His party nominated April Aguilar-Nery, daughter of Mayor Imelda Aguilar, to run for his place.

Following Rep. Mark Villar's appointment as Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways in 2016, he was replaced by his wife, Emmeline Aglipay-Villar as interim representative.

April Aguilar-Nery, daughter of the incumbent Mayor Imelda Aguilar, won with 161,789 votes.

Camille Villar won over her rival, Jerry Delos Reyes, garnering 173,917 votes.
