The Boilermakers were members of the Big Ten Conference and played their home games at Alexander Field in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Boilermakers were selected to play in the 2018 NCAA tournament, beginning in the Chapel Hill Regional.

The Boilermakers would eventually lose in the second round of the Chapel Hill Regional to Houston by a score of 4–8.
