Kyle Larson was the fastest in the first practice session with a time of 22.185 seconds and a speed of 121.704 mph (195.864 km/h).

Kevin Harvick scored the pole for the race with a time of 21.722 and a speed of 124.298 mph (200.038 km/h).

Jamie Little, Vince Welch and Matt Yocum handled the pit road duties for the television side.

Winston Kelley, Steve Post and Glenn Jarrett worked pit road for the radio side.
