The 2020 McNeese State Cowboys football team represented McNeese State University as a member of the Southland Conference during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I FCS football season.

Led by first-year head coach Frank Wilson, the Cowboys compiled an overall record of 3–4 with a mark of 2–4 in conference play, tying for fifth place in the Southland.

McNeese State played home games at Cowboy Stadium in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

On August 13, McNeese State Athletic Department decided to postpone all fall sports with the intent to play in the spring.
