The top three teams (Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Tanzania) were promoted to Division 1 where they competed with Kenya, Namibia and Uganda.

The finalists Oman and Kuwait were promoted to Division 1 where they competed with United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Malaysia and Singapore.
