The 2021–22 season was Fotbal Club CFR 1907 Cluj's 26th consecutive season in the Liga I and 114th year in existence as a football club.
In addition to the domestic league, CFR Cluj participated in this season's editions of the Cupa României, the Supercupa României, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League.
