The Dons were led by third-year head coach Todd Golden, and played their home games at the War Memorial Gymnasium at the Sobrato Center as members of the West Coast Conference.
[1][2][3] The Dons' perfect season ended with a one-point loss to Grand Canyon on December 18; they would ultimately wrap up their non-conference slate with a 13–2 record heading into WCC play.
The Dons finished conference regular season play at 10–6 and were seeded fourth in that year's WCC tournament.
After a win against BYU and a loss to Gonzaga, the Dons received an at-large NCAA tournament bid, their first appearance since 1998.
They defeated San Diego in the first round of the WCC tournament before losing to Loyola Marymount.
