The 2022–23 FUFA Big League was a season of second division football in Uganda.
[1] Kitara won their first ever second division title on the last day of the season as they defeated Kaaro Karungi 1–0.
Mbarara City finished runners-up after their 3–0 win on the last day over already relegated Northern Gateway.
[2] Both teams earned promotion to the 2023–24 Uganda Premier League NEC were the third team promoted after winning 4–1 on the final match day meaning Police could not catch them and finished fourth.
[3] Tooro United were relegated from the 2021–22 Uganda Premier League but were excluded from the fixture for failing licensing requirements.
