2022–23 Saudi Women's Premier League

This marked a significant moment for women's football in the kingdom, gaining increasing attention from Saudis.

Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr, two of the most prominent names in Saudi football, were confirmed as participants in the new women's league.

Al-Nassr took over the 2021–22 women's football league champions, Al-Mamlaka FC (Arabic: فريق المملكة النسائي), while Al-Hilal acquired the 2021–22 women's football league runners-up, Challenge (Arabic: فريق التحدي).
