The team was led by fourth-year head coach Jerry Stackhouse, and played their home games at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tennessee as a member of the Southeastern Conference.

They finished the season 18–13, 11–7 in SEC Play, in a three-way tie for 4th place.
